Card and badge readers

These readers read the badge to open a session, validate access or identify an operator at a workstation. They connect over USB and behave like a keyboard.

Three criteria separate the models:

• Technology read: 125 kHz, 13.56 MHz or UHF, matched to the badges in circulation
• Output mode, keyboard wedge or virtual COM port
• Format, desktop or for integration into equipment

The classic trap is ordering a 13.56 MHz reader for a 125 kHz badge estate. Have an existing badge read before ordering the batch.
