Print engines for applicators

A print engine is a printer without a housing, designed to be built into an automatic applicator at the end of a line. It prints and applies the label unattended.

What the choice comes down to:

• Output direction, right or left hand, dictated by the existing line
• Control interface with the applicator's PLC
• Print speed, which must match the line rate, not exceed it

A print engine is never chosen on its own: the applicator and the line rate dictate the model. Have the pairing validated by the integrator before ordering.
