UHF RFID mobile computers

These terminals combine an Android mobile computer, a barcode scanner and a UHF RFID module. One device covers RFID stocktaking and conventional barcode scanning.

Three criteria separate the models:

• Adjustable transmit power, to tighten the read zone in narrow aisles
• Battery life under continuous RFID reading, well below barcode runtime
• Pistol grip or straight format, depending on carry time and read height

Quoted battery life rarely holds for continuous RFID counting. Budget one spare battery per device if campaigns run beyond three hours.
