Presentation and in-counter scanners

Sitting on the counter or built into the checkout surface, a presentation scanner reads whatever is shown to it. It is the standard format in retail and pharmacy.

Three criteria separate the models:

• In-counter or on-counter, depending on whether the checkout surface can be cut
• Omnidirectional reading, so items need no orienting
• Integrated scale, essential for loose goods and fresh produce

The in-counter model with a scale costs considerably more, but it removes a second device and a second handling step. On a grocery till the maths is quick.

Tell us what you are equipping and in what environment, and we will propose a configuration that lasts.
