The A-CLASS DIRECT THERMAL et THERMAL TRANSFER from Honeywell is a printhead. It is used for label printer maintenance.

300 dpi becomes necessary as soon as the label drops below 25 mm or carries a dense DataMatrix. Above that, 203 dpi is enough and costs less in consumables.
